Debugging the tech sector’s diversity problem

State school pupils are far less likely to take STEM-based A-Levels, and women make up just 13% of the workforce in the UK’s STEM industries (science, technology, engineering and maths).

We run free creative computing courses in London (Imperial Codelab), Manchester and Leeds. These programmes are designed for social groups that aren’t represented enough in the tech sector. Using interactive and engaging coding projects, students learn practical skills in problem solving, creativity and computational thinking. Simultaneously they develop confidence in their ability.
