BJSS Scholarship

The BJSS Scholarship enables 100 pupils in aged 11 - 16, in Leeds, Manchester, and Bristol, to participate in the Turinglab coding classes, learning programming and computational thinking skills through creative coding projects under guidance from local university students.

The Program


WHAT WILL STUDENTS LEARN?

Students will be introduced to computing concepts through the creation of games, animations, and apps.

They will work towards creating their own projects in JavaScript that they can share with their friends and family.

 

WHO WILL STUDETNS BE TAUGHT BY?

They will be learning from university students from local universities.

Our instructors use coding in their degrees: computer science, physics, engineering, and medicine.

 

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The program is for children aged 11 - 16 who have an interest in coding, and receive either free school meals, or pupil premium support.

 

WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?

If your application is successful, the BJSS scholarship will cover your entire tuition cost of the Turinglab Programme.
